Neighborhood Revitalization Youth Consortium

The Neighborhood Revitalization Youth Consortium (NYRC) is a mentorship and career development initiative designed to engage high school and college students in the process of community development and get them invested in their communities. Through this program, Future Scapes seeks to introduce Salisbury and Rowan Youth to the expansive opportunities available in the built environment, real estate development, and urban planning industries. By offering a combination of real-world experience, interactive learning, and exposure to industry leaders, NYRC empowers teenagers to envision the potential of their communities and pursue careers that not only align with their personal passions but also contribute to their neighborhoods and communities.

Neighborhood Urban Redevelopment  

The Neighborhood Urban Redevelopment (NURD) program is an innovative initiative from Future Scapes designed to engage and support emerging developers in revitalizing blighted or underutilized urban and rural neighborhoods. NURD participants are provided with the resources and guidance they need to transform vacant properties into productive, vibrant spaces, encouraging not only physical development but also social and economic revitalization. The program focuses on helping participants develop practical skills and expertise in redevelopment while emphasizing the importance of community involvement and sustainable development practices.
