Future Scapes Champions High School Students with Black History Month Essay Contest
Future Scapes is proud to announce its Black History Month Essay Scholarship contest, which highlights the critical contributions of African-American innovators. This annual event, launched in 2024, encourages high school students to explore the significant role Black inventors, architects, and builders have played in the development of America's progress.
The essay contest invites students to reflect on the theme: "How Black Inventors, Architects, and Builders Paved the Way for America's Progress: Exploring Their Impact on Innovation, Design, and Infrastructure." The deadline for submissions is March 14th, with entries to be sent by mail. Please look at the flyer on the right for essay contest rules and submission requirements.
This initiative not only fosters a deeper appreciation for Black history, but it also offers a scholarship opportunity to support the education of future leaders.

The Future Scape Symposium in Charlotte on October 8, 2024
With an impressive attendance and deeply engaging discussions, we’ve laid the groundwork for something truly special. The energy in the room, the quality of the conversations, and the insights shared made this event far more than just a gathering—it was a call to action for all of us to be more intentional about shaping the future of real estate development.
Egbert Perry’s keynote was especially moving, reminding us of the power we have to transform communities and leave a lasting legacy. And, of course, recognizing Walter Davis’s tremendous contributions was a fitting tribute to a man who has opened doors for so many.
We’re grateful to Queens University of Charlotte and The Integral Group for partnering with Future Scapes, Inc.to make this event possible. I look forward to seeing how we continue to build on what we’ve started. Let’s keep the momentum going!
